Iggy has quit social media and is now postponing her Great Escape tour until September, but why is this all happening?
Since she decided to push back her first arena tour from April to September, there has been much speculation as to why Iggy Azalea would hit pause on her skyrocketing career. When the news first dropped, The Wrap published an article that suggested it was because there were conflicts between Iggy and her team, but a rep told Billboard that this is simply not the case.
“There’s no truth to the rumor that there’s any conflict between her and her management,” the rep shared.
And a spokesperson for Def Jam confirmed that the tour is only being rescheduled due to preparation issues.
“To accommodate for creative team availability and tour productions, it was determined that the tour will not be ready this spring”
Iggz HQ: The tour getting pushed back only means that it’ll be way more amazing than it would’ve been in April. Good things take time.

But what has Iggy said on the matter? Well, after handing over all social media to her management team, Iggy Iggs had to release her statement the old fashioned way – during an interview. Whilst sitting down with AMP Radio’s Michelle and Booker, she revealed that she just isn’t as prepared to tour as she’d like to be.
“I don’t want to have an average tour with a normal stage and this kind of thing. I want people to come and really feel they got their money’s worth…and they want to come back and tell their friends about it,” she said.
“So that’s the risk that I took and I hope people can still come.”
Well, we know two people who can’t make it – Nick Jonas and Tinashe (who were lined up as Iggy’s support acts) are both unable to make the new schedule and won’t be joining Iggy on the road.
So, until the tour, all people have to hold on to is her new single with Jennifer Hudson, and the super scorching music video:
